Making it easy for companies to make nutritious food
In a world facing increasing food insecurity, we understand the urgent need for innovative solutions. We are dedicated to reducing food waste while providing high-quality, nutritious food options. By investing in future food technology, we are committed to making a lasting difference for both our local and global communities.
▸ WHO ARE WE?
Burlington Bio was founded on a simple but powerful belief: The future of food does not require more resources — it requires better use of the ones we already have.
We are an interdisciplinary team of engineers and food scientists working to challenge and change the way the world sees food waste. Every year, valuable agricultural byproducts rich in protein and fiber are underutilized or discarded. We see these materials not as waste, but as untapped building blocks for the next generation of nutritious food ingredients.
Our mission is to transform these agricultural residuals into accessible, high-quality ingredients that improve food security and expand nutritional access.
▸ OUR MISSION
By increasing the functional yield of existing food systems, we help feed and sustain a growing global population without demanding more land, more inputs, or more strain on farmers.
We do not aim to replace systems of agriculture — we aim to strengthen them. Farmers are our partners. By valorizing organic biopolymers from agricultural byproducts, we create new revenue streams, reduce waste, and reinforce the resilience of regional food economies.
